Archer runs the program. Cranium brings the evidence.

Archer AI Governance gives GRC teams the framework for AI use cases, risk, controls and regulatory obligations. Cranium ONE adds what a framework can’t see on its own: the AI actually running in your code, what red teaming finds in it, and the evidence behind every control.

02 Who does what

Two platforms. One AI governance program.

Archer is where the policy, risk and control decisions live. Cranium is how you know those decisions match what is actually running.

The governance framework

Archer AI Governance

  • A central AI inventory and use-case register
  • Risk assessments at use-case, system and model level
  • A controls library and model risk management
  • Alignment with the EU AI Act and evolving regulation
Discovery, validation and security

Cranium ONE

  • Detect AI finds known and unknown models in code and infrastructure
  • AI Bills of Materials, generated automatically
  • Arena red teaming, with Arena Shield guardrails
  • AI Cards: the evidence package for every system

What Cranium adds inside Archer.

Discover

Fill the inventory with what’s real

Detect AI scans your codebases and infrastructure for known and unknown models, and every repository gets an AI Bill of Materials — models, datasets, libraries and infrastructure. Those discoveries land in Archer, categorized and tied to a risk assessment.

Govern

Controls with evidence behind them

Archer holds the policies, risks and controls. Cranium’s artifacts are the technical evidence those controls are measured against, so a control reflects what a system contains, not what a questionnaire says.

Secure

Red team before anyone else does

Arena runs automated and human-led attacks — prompt injection, data poisoning, model manipulation — and every finding lands in Archer with its attack category, severity and remediation guidance. Arena Shield turns findings into guardrails, delivered as YAML and verified by retesting.

Prove

Evidence an auditor can hold

AI Cards package the AI Bill of Materials, the vulnerability assessment and compliance attestations for the EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF and ISO 42001 — ready to sit beside the controls in Archer.

The Archer & Cranium dashboard

AI use-case requests and the AI inventory from Archer, with Cranium’s AI-BOMs, AI systems and vulnerabilities right alongside.

Every model, with its test history

Cranium brings AI models into Archer, ready to assign to the Model Inventory, with attack and weakness counts from Arena testing.

AI systems, tied to Information Systems

Each AI system carries its repository, scan status and vulnerability totals, and links to the Information Systems Archer already tracks.

Code vulnerabilities, with the fix

Source, CVSS score, affected package and fixed version for every finding, created in Archer by its data feed from the Cranium API.

Red-team findings, with remediation

Attack category, algorithm, success ratio and severity for each Arena finding, plus remediation guidance your team can act on.

05 How it works

From your code to your controls.

No rip-and-replace. Archer stays your system of record; Cranium keeps it supplied with fresh technical evidence.

  1. 01
    Scan

Connect your repositories. Cranium discovers the AI in them and builds each AI Bill of Materials automatically.

  2. 02
    Bring it into Archer

Archer’s data feed connects to the Cranium API and creates records for AI models, AI systems, vulnerabilities and Arena findings, linked to your Model Inventory and Information Systems.

  3. 03
    Keep the loop running

As code changes and tests rerun, new evidence keeps arriving, so GRC teams can prioritize remediation and update controls continuously.

06 Together

Archer and Cranium, on the record.

07 Questions

Cranium AI & Archer, answered.

How do Cranium AI and Archer work together?

Archer provides the governance framework for AI use cases, risk, controls and regulatory obligations. Cranium adds technical discovery, validation and security: it finds the AI running in your code and infrastructure, builds AI Bills of Materials, red teams your models and supplies the evidence that Archer’s controls rely on.

What does Cranium bring into Archer AI Governance?

Archer’s data feed connects to the Cranium API and creates Archer records for AI models, AI systems, code vulnerabilities and Arena red-team findings. Models can be assigned to the Model Inventory, AI systems connect to Information Systems, each vulnerability carries its source, CVSS score, affected package and fixed version, and each Arena finding carries its attack category, severity and remediation guidance.

How do I get the Cranium offering for Archer?

It is listed on the Archer Exchange as Cranium AI Security Technology. It is licensed separately and purchased through Cranium, and every customer gets a dedicated customer success manager.

Can we pull Cranium data into Archer or other GRC tools ourselves?

Yes. The Cranium public REST API lists AI systems, Bills of Materials, vulnerabilities and Arena models with cursor-based pagination, built for streaming that data into governance and GRC tools. Vulnerability findings can also be exported to CSV.

Do I need Archer to use Cranium?

No. Cranium ONE runs on its own across the full AI Trust Loop: Discover, Observe, Govern, Secure and Prove. The Archer offering is for teams that run their GRC program in Archer and want Cranium’s evidence inside it.
