As CISO for BlackRock, Dave built and led the Cyber security program globally for almost nine years. This included the ETF iShares and Aladdin product line responsible for managing more than $22 trillion in assets across the industry. As the first CSO/CISO for SunGard, the third largest business applications fintech prior to acquisition by FIS, he led the physical, business continuity, crisis management and cyber security program across SunGard’s portfolio of companies and their 25,000+ clients, 25,000 developers and over $24 trillion in investment assets accounted or managed by systems developed by SunGard.
Prior to SunGard, Dave was the deputy CISO for Lehman Brothers managing Technology Risk and Information Security, where he held responsibility for managing the functions globally across all business lines.
Dave has more than 18 years across a range of sectors (financial services, pharmaceutical, chemical, IT services, consulting) and a range of disciplines (application development, systems and infrastructure management, network security and technology risk). Additionally, he has served on numerous public, private and government security advisory boards including IBM, Enterprise Ireland, Moody’s, IANS, Gartner, etc.
